„(Incidentally, one always had the feeling that wherever one helped oneself out in constructions of propositions with x = x, a = a, etc., one was in all such cases cheating one's way out; as when one said 'a exists' means '(Ex) x = a'.)" (NB 10.11.14) Even more concisely with regard to proposition (6): "Is not Russell's definition of nought nonsensical? Can one speak of a class (λx)(x ≠ x) at all? Is x ≠ x or x = x a function of x at all??" (NB 21.10.14) The use of the equals sign for identity results only in pseudo-propositions (cf."

„the one grounded in the logical structure of colour) between "a is red" and "a is green". The keyword for assuming syntactically analytic propositions is "logical structure": the "logical form" "colour" (TLP 2.0251), the colour-determinability of an object, also has, according to TLP 6.3751, a "logical structure", i.e.: when an object is determined, one must start not only from its *logical form* (e.g."

„The central pivot, rather, is the linguistic act, as a free creative act with a "character of risk": if the linguistic act has sense (if it is suitable for describing reality in the sense of a yes–no alternative), then "various demands on the structure of reality" show themselves in the possibility of description. In this sense one must also agree with Wallner that "objects" or their forms are not given statically and in themselves, but result only in the successful linguistic act: in this respect Wittgenstein gives in TLP 2.0251 only "examples of forms of the objects *of our world*"."

„the object as point of reference *and* its logical form as its determinability – what is uncertain is its determination (cf. TLP 2.026 ff.): the name is responsible for the proposition's relating to anything at all, logical form for the determination made about the object having sense, i.e."

„At that time Wittgenstein was evidently toying with the idea that the "completely general proposition" is closer to the logical proposition than to the significant proposition (containing names), or that there is a process of generalization leading from the significant proposition to the completely generalized proposition, which is "entirely dematerialized" (NB 23.10.14) and represents only logical properties (cf."

„– cf. "The description of the world by completely general propositions could be called the impersonal description of the world." (NB 27.10.14) *Third*: the quantifiers, just like the name itself, provide for the syntactic context appropriate to them: the meaning of the quantifier in (1) "(Ex) Fx" ("F" = "red") and (2) "(Ex) Gx" ("G" = "1 m long") is different: in (1) it means the range of some *colour-determinable* objects, in (2) the range of some *space-determinable* objects."

„(1) Both are significant values of a propositional function and can be true or false (cf. NB 28.10.14)."

„as a propositional variable (expressed by "p", "q", etc.) whose values are *all* propositions; "state of affairs" and "fact" are then the formal concepts (quasi-ontological variables) of *all* states of affairs and facts. The ranges of values of the formal-ontological concepts are at the same time formal ranges of generality ("totalities"): "*world*" is the "totality of facts" (TLP 1.1), "of existing states of affairs" (TLP 2.04)."

„central or parallel projection) – corresponding to the "method of projection" as "thinking of the sense of the proposition" (TLP 3.11), or to the "mode of representation" (cf. NB 31.10.14 and passim), depending on the respective truth-operation."

„The ranges of values of the formal-ontological concepts are at the same time formal ranges of generality ("totalities"): "*world*" is the "totality of facts" (TLP 1.1), "of existing states of affairs" (TLP 2.04). This totality also determines "which states of affairs do not exist" (TLP 2.05): "*reality*" is "the existence and non-existence of states of affairs" (TLP 2.06)."

„(2) The general proposition "(Ex) Fx" and the singular proposition "Fa" are not related as variable and value of the variable; the possibility of the proposition "Fa" is not bound to the fact "(Ex) Fx" (cf. NB 21.10.14, 1.11.14) – "(x) Fx" is not the form of the proposition "Fa ∧ Fb ∧ Fc etc." (cf."

(vgl."
